Work Permit for Intra-Company Transfers (ICT Work Permit) is a work permit for foreign companies to send employees to work in existing/or newly established Canadian branches. The work visa program launched by economic development, that is, Canada allows multinational companies to transfer overseas senior managers/or professionals to work in Canadian branches and issue work visas to them.

Requirements for companies

1. The company sets up companies in Canada and abroad, and the relationship between the companies is parent company (Parent), branch company (Branch), and affiliate company (affiliate).

2. Both domestic and foreign companies are currently in operation, and companies located in Canada must also have actual operating business in Canada. If you only have an office in Canada without an actual Canadian business, you are not eligible.

Requirements for applicants for work permit

1. Those applying for a work permit to Canada must currently work in a multinational company. The purpose of the application is to work in a branch office in Canada.

2. The person applying for a work permit must have worked full-time (through payroll or contract) for at least 1 year in the parent company overseas in the past three years, and the full-time position in the overseas company and the position in the Canadian branch that will be held same.

3. The applicant is coming to Canada for a temporary assignment.
