Canadian school application requirements

Elementary schools generally have no hard application requirements, while high school application requirements are as follows:

l Public high school: Graduation from the second year of junior high school or above, the average grade in school is above 70%, and there is no language requirement

l Private high school: The average score of each subject in the past three years is 70%-80%, and there is no language requirement

l Noble High School: The average score of each subject in the past three years is more than 80%, most of which require IELTS 5.5-6.5, and SATT scores are also required.

l Economic guarantee: more than RMB 600,000

l Interview: Some require on-site interview or SKYPE interview

Canadian school application deadline

Canadian high schools and elementary schools (the duration of study abroad depends on the nature of the school)

· Public high schools and primary schools: (Recommended application time) September has the largest number of students enrolled. It is recommended to start preparations in October of the previous year. The Education Bureau generally starts accepting applications in December . The application period is 2-8 weeks (different from province to province), and the application deadline is at the end of May . . Admission in February is recommended to start gradually in June of the previous year . Air compressors generally accept applications in August , with a cycle of 2-8 weeks (different from province to province), and the deadline for applications in mid- November

· Ordinary private schools, high schools and primary schools: The enrollment period is more flexible, roughly divided into September , January, May and July

· Aristocratic schools, high schools and primary schools: generally only enter in September . It is recommended to start preparing at least one year in advance for the application time. Private schools generally start accepting applications in October . The application period is 4-8 weeks, and the deadline is the end of December .

Visa Application

1. Passport: Passport valid for more than nine months from the date of return. The old version must be signed on the last page of the passport. If you have an old passport, please provide it together.

2. Photo: 1 photo of the past six months, size: 35mm X 45mm.

3. ID card: Please copy the front and back sides of the ID card on A4 paper.

4. Account book: The original copy of my account book. Under 18 requires a guardianship statement from a parent and Canadian guardian  

5. School Admission Letter: A copy of the admission letter from the Canadian School Admissions/Registration Office showing the exact tuition fee amount required by the applicant, the expected start and end time of study and the latest date the applicant can register. And the enrollment period has not expired. If studying in Quebec: If planning to study in Quebec, submit a valid Letter of Acceptance from Quebec (CAQ)

6. Experience Report: A copy of the medical examination form provided by the designated medical examiner (if the medical examination has been completed)

7. High School Notarization: Notarized copy of high school graduation certificate, and notarized copy of transcripts stamped with the official seal of the high school registration office. If you are studying in high school, please provide a notarized copy of the proof of study and the notarized copy of the transcript. The proof of enrollment must be printed on the official letterhead of the school, and must include the following information: Applicant's name, grade, school's address, contact information, and the school's official seal;

8. Notarization of documents: notarization of all graduation certificates, notarization of qualification certificates (if any)

9. Notarized University Certificates: Notarized copies of all university or college qualifications earned, as well as transcripts of all courses taken. If still not graduating, please indicate the expected graduation date and what degree, qualification or certificate will be awarded.

10. Police Clearance Certificate: Notarized copy of Police Clearance Certificate. After the applicant reaches the age of 18, if he has lived in a country or region other than China for six consecutive months or more, he must obtain a police certificate of no criminal record from the country or region.

11. Study Plan: The study plan mentioned in the Study Permit Guidelines.

12. Proof of Tuition Fees: Provide proof that first-year tuition has been paid, or provide proof of deposit that funds are available to cover first-year tuition.

13. Notarization of kinship relationship: If funds are provided by parents, it is recommended to provide notarization of kinship relationship.

14. Investor's financial certificate:

(1) The proof of income should be printed on the official letterhead of the work unit, signed and stamped by the person in charge of the company, and the date and the following information should be specified: Name, position, entry time, income in the last two years, whether there is any bonus or additional income .

(2) Payroll bills in the past six months to one year.

(3) Parental tax receipts The original tax payment receipts of the parents’ respective personal income tax in the last 12 months issued by the local tax authority, including the name of the taxpayer and the amount paid under the name of the taxpayer.

If one or both parents own or partially own a company, please submit:

(1) Notarized business license.

(2) Recent tax payment receipts.

(3) The company's financial audit report and capital verification report for the previous financial year.

Proof of Funds: Proof of Funds reflecting at least twelve months of fund accumulation history:

(1) The original bank deposit certificate issued within the last two months is recommended to be frozen for 3 months (it is sufficient to cover the visa review period);

(2) The passbook or deposit certificate corresponding to the deposit. If it is a card, print the running bill for the past six months.

Ancillary assets:

(1) Proof of financial management such as stock and fund transaction records;

(2) Proof of fixed assets such as real estate certificate and motor vehicle registration certificate.

     15. Written Description of Household Funding Sources: Write an explanatory letter stating where household income comes from. Such as: wages, stock funds and other investments, business transactions, real estate transactions or leasing; in addition, if relevant supporting documents can also be attached to the application.

     16. If the applicant is employed: The original employment certification letter, including the employer's full name, address and telephone number; the applicant's employment period, position, income in the last two years, whether there is any bonus and additional income.

Note: If submitting an online application, the following requirements must be met for submitting documents

1. All documents must be notarized in English or translated

2. The scanned copy of the passport is the entire passport,

3. Scanned documents need to be in PDF format

5. The guardianship document is divided into two (applicable to minor students), the first one needs to be notarized by the guardian in Canada, and the second one needs to be notarized by the applicant's parents in China

6. Proof of contribution is the most important document:

According to the requirements, the available funds are: stocks, funds, bank deposits and bank flow, of which the bank flow needs to have regular credits to represent regular salary income, and other capital contributions that can be notarized should be notarized as much as possible.
